The 80's classic fantasy movie list

Technically, I am a child of the 70's (at least in that I was born in 1979). My memories from that decade, however, are a tad faint. Drugs? Nay, young age (I swear!).

So let us move on to that decadent cavorting era of trickle-down economics, violently humorous hairstyles, and new plateaus in superficial profundities -- the 80's. What a time to grow up. Myself, along with a few others in nearby generations, were raised not by those babbling self-declared autocrats known as "parents", but rather by the sweet nurturing wisdom of movies.

In memory of those monumental, moving, picturesque progenitors, I present for your reading pleasure, the following hand-crafted list of nastolgia-inducing classic fantasy flicks from said period:

The Neverending Story
Labyrinth
The Last Starfighter
The Dark Crystal
Tron
The Secret of NIMH
Willow
Explorers
The Goonies
Princess Bride
Legend
The Last Unicorn
Time Bandits

Oh yea, I loved that one as a kid. It's not the type of fantasy as, say, Willow, but it does have the same general appeal :)
